Head Injury is tough…

My name is Nic, and I attend North Star’s Head Injury Program.  A Head Injury is something I would not wish upon my worst enemy. I was 21 when I had my head Injury. It is a very difficult affliction to have to deal with. I fell at home, hit my head on the Ice and in less then 6 hours, I was in a coma that lasted 5 and a half to 6 months, followed with about a year of rehab. Including physical, occupational, & speech, for I had forgotten, or was unable to walk, eat, OR brush my teeth by myself. I still am unable to walk steadily, control some of my social skills, or even sustain a lasting relationship. So I will probably die a lonely old man…
